Carolyn Luna-Anderson is Executive Director of the Life Link Training Institute and co-founder/chief
operating officer for The Life
Link. Carolyn was responsible for the expansion of services
in 1989 which included moving to a larger facility, enhancing the
shelter services at The Life Link, including planning and implementation of the transitional
housing units. Carolyn directly supervises program coordinators
for mentally ill homeless services; supportive employment; homeless
prevention and family services; substance abuse treatment services;
the Learning Center, job training
programs, and peer support training.
She made sure that the $2.4 million supportive housing
project, La Luz, was completed in February of 2000, and was invaluable
at assisting to receive the $670,000 HUD grant in order to establish
Casa Milagro. As the executive director of The Life Link, she administers grant dollars from city, county, state, and federal sources. While she was starting the organization, she also served as Nursing Director at Los Alamos hospital, where she had worked for years.
She received her Doctorate of Philosophy in counseling from the
University of Biblical Studies in Bethany, Oklahoma and her Master
of Science-Nursing from UNM.
Carolyn has served as member of the Governor's Mental Health Planning
Council since 1997, and as Chairperson since 1998.

Raymond (Ande) D. Anderson is the Director of Operations
and Training at The Life Link. Before he moved into his current position he was the Director of Treatment for 9 years and has seen clients at The Life Link since 1991. He has been training with the Life Link Training Institute since its inception. People from many states have attended his trainings at The Life Link, as well as from New Zealand and Scotland. He has provided technical assistance to many grants locally in Santa Fe, as well as in Arizona and New Zealand, and has trained coast to coast, a well as internationally.
Ande's endeavors include 25 years experience in teaching, counseling,
healthcare, and social services programs. At The Life Link he trains staff in the clinical modalities
used at the facility such as Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA),
Community Reinforcement Approach Family Training (CRAFT) & Motivational Interviewing (MI). He also has trained as part of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). He also has been a co-investigator in NIDA protocols at The Life Link, as well as a consultant for development of a CRAFT protocol for the Clinical Trial Network of NIDA. He was both a lead and co-supervisor during a SAMHSA demonstration grant in a three year CRAFT project at The Life Link. Ande has ten years of experience in counseling and supervising in CRA. In addition, he serves as the Chief HIPAA Privacy and Security Officer at The Life Link. He still continues to keep a small caseload of clients despite a busy schedule. His clients consist of the severly disabled mentally ill, substance abusing and those struggling with both.
Ande holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Counseling from the
University of Biblical Studies at Bethany, Oklahoma and a Masters of
Theology from the International Seminary, Plymouth , Florida. In the State of New Mexico he is a
Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) and a
Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADAC).
He is a member of the American Counselors Association and the American Association
of Christian Counselors. Ande's personal commitment to excellence,
combined with his capacity for compassion and fun, continues to
motivate and inspire those who attend his trainings as well as staff at The Life Link.
